A cottagecore apron borrows from rural European dress of the late 19th and early 20th century: a full skirt, gathered waist, ruffled or lace-trimmed edges, and natural fabric in soft, faded colours. Unlike a plain chef's apron, it is meant to be seen — worn for baking, gardening, hosting or photographs, not hidden under a uniform.

A regular apron covers the front of your body and ties at the waist or neck. A pinafore covers you like a sleeveless dress — shoulders, back and skirt — and usually fastens with cross-back straps or a drawstring, so nothing pulls on your neck. Pinafores protect far more clothing and stay put during long sessions; waist aprons are quicker to put on and take off.

Most pieces in this collection are 100% cotton at roughly 250 g/m² — heavy enough to hang properly and survive frequent washing, light enough to wear for hours. Some styles combine plain cotton with printed floral panels and cotton lace trim. The exact composition is listed on every product page.

Yes. Our aprons are cut in grouped sizes such as XS–M, L and XL–2XL rather than single numeric sizes, and most styles use adjustable ties or a drawstring back, so one size covers a real range of bodies. Each listing includes a size chart in centimetres and inches; if you are between sizes, size up — the silhouette is meant to be loose.

They are made to work. Pockets are deep and reinforced, seams are double-stitched at stress points, and the cotton is machine washable at 30°C. The vintage detailing is on top of a functional garment, not instead of one.

Worldwide shipping is a flat $24 per order and delivery usually takes 14–21 days. Each apron is made and finished by hand before it ships, which is why we do not promise 2-day delivery.
